Shared Memories
  • Radio and news

Radio y noticias is a project-curdso inspired by the movement of expanded, critical and community-based education and research. Conceived as a course with transformative potential, it is offered to both the Northfield community and the Carleton College academic community.
Over the course of 10 weeks, the project articulates a hybrid educational process-formal (a university course) and non-formal (the community radio program El Súper Barrio Latino)-to collectively address structural issues that affect local residents.
The course seeks to generate an inclusive, horizontal and careful space, in which all those invited participate as co-educators and neighbors of the same territory. This confluence opens the classroom to experiences, knowledge and tools that usually remain outside the academic framework, while favoring the encounter between the University of Carleton College, the Vecinxs Unidxs collective and the people we inhabit.
  • Dying with dignity

This course offers an intellectual and deeply personal experience. It is articulated as a four-stage rite of passage that invites us to critically and creatively traverse the cultural, social and political meanings of dying and the end of life, both individual and planetary, under the conditions of the capitalist system.
